Conical push-pull closure crowns new shampoo

When Laboratorios RTB in Spain was planning the launch of its new Giorgi Fix Out Shampoo, the company wanted a distinctive, innovative packaging look to enhance marketing of the new product.

A conical push-pull closure from Crown Zeller fit the bill. Personal care products manufacturer RTB believes the unusual design of the closure helps convey a rocket shape to the packaging and provides outstanding shelf impact.

Giorgi is using high-density polyethylene, 250-mL bottles and plastic film labels (supplier names not disclosed) for the new shampoo line. Produced in bright yellow and blue to match the brand’s trademark colors, the new packaging is an attention grabber. As a Giorgi brand marketing spokesman explains, “We felt Crown’s conical dispensing closure was the perfect choice for making our new product stand out, while reinforcing our creative brand image. We selected the closure first and designed the bottle around it to highlight and complement the closure’s unique aesthetic properties.” —Judy Rice
