New vf/f/s packs poultry

With four new turnkey packaging systems from CMD Corp., Canadian poultry firm Maxi Canada Inc. attained both efficiency and reliability on four of its packaging lines.

It’s running four ICON 380 intermittent-motion vf/f/s baggers equipped with Yamato scales. Lines can operate at 100 cycles/min.

The equipment produces pillow-style, stand-up bags of frozen chicken products in various sizes complete with a resealable zipper feature from Zip-Pak. Maxi needed the machinery to meet an increased demand for its product. Previous vf/f/s machinery didn’t provide the production rates necessary.
