The show will cover six exhibition halls at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, England. Terry Leahy, chief executive of Tesco, the United Kingdom's largest retailer, will open the show on Monday, March 30. It will close Friday, April 3. This year, Pakex will feature several specialty pavilions. For the first time, a Design Village will gather together exhibits of many design agencies. Reed Exhibition has commissioned a documentary film about packaging design, in association with three international design groups. Another first is the Auto ID Village, supported by AIM Intl., a trade association. Finally, a Flexographic Village, supported by the European Flexographic Technical Assn., will highlight flexo printing developments since the last Pakex show. During the show, Packaging Week will present its Packaging Industry Awards at the nearby National Motorcycle Museum. More information on Pakex is available on its web site: www.pakex.co.uk. Following is a list of exhibiting companies from the U.S., or companies with a major U.S. presence.
