Fabri-Kal introduces a new and improved line of Mushroom Tills. The new tills are made from High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) with a lightweight, compact, efficient design, and cater to mushroom growers and retailers looking for reduced environmental impact in packaging solutions.

Made from a blend of HDPE and calcium carbonate, the new tills are produced with 25 percent less plastic than Fabri-Kal’s previous tills. Reducing the use of petroleum-based plastic used to make the Mushroom Tills results in fewer CO2 emissions than other mushroom tills made from traditional rigid plastic materials. Designed to make the process more efficient, Fabri-Kal’s new mushroom tills improve efficiency – from filling to wrapping to packaging, reducing labor and cleanup as there is no need for additional prep containers.

“Fabri-Kal Mushrooms Tills are a convenient solution for growers and retailers looking to answer to consumer demand for more responsible products,” said Linda Weber, Custom Accounts Manager, Fabri-Kal. “Our new Mushroom Tills are durable and will improve operational efficiency.”

As an added bonus to consumers and growers alike, HDPE is identified with a #2 resin code, and is commonly recognized as the plastic used in making milk jugs -- making the new tills recyclable in communities that accept HDPE containers.
