(Atlanta, GA). —Amcor (Melbourne, Australia) will construct a new plastic closure plant in Ontario, CA. —Cargill Dow LLC (Minnetonka, MN) and Mitsui Chemicals, Inc. (New York, NY) will collaborate on the further business development of PLA, a polymer made from annually renewable resources. Cargill Dow opened a new plant in Blair, NE, to produce polylactide, or PLA, polymers. —Bradman Lake (Brislington, Bristol, England) has entered into a mfg. and marketing agreement with Propack Processing and Packaging Systems Inc. (Toronto, Ontario, Canada). —Chevron Phillips Chemical Co., LP (Houston, TX) has created a new branding system for its line of polyethylene products called CPChem, which will help integrate the core products of Chevron and Phillips Petroleum Co.
