Digital ink-jet color printing

Digital ink-jet color press technology from dotrix brings new capabilities to specialty package- and label-printing. Called the.factory, this technology is especially suitable where shorter lead times, print-on-demand requirements, product variety, and customized printing are called for.

Using UV-curable inks, the press prints on ultra-thin substrates such as flexible films, foils, or paper. Paperboard can be printed, too. The system prints images in at least four colors in 300 dpi resolution at 78'/min. Single-Pass Ink-jet Color Engine (SPICE) is the.factory's base technology, based on piezo drop-on-demand printing that is said to eliminate ink waste and unnecessary recycling.
