Thermal ink-jet printing

The Jetpack 1000™ thermal ink-jet printer from Prism now features a Windows® driver, making it compatible with most bar-code and label-generation programs and enabling customers to make a seamless transition to thermal ink-jet technology from print-and-apply labeling systems.

Pw 7315 E Prism

Jetpack 1000 delivers print resolutions to 600 dpi and uses HP thermal ink-jet technology to provide crisp text and graphics, along with clear linear and 2-D bar codes. Said to be virtually maintenance-free, the unit reduces downtime, increases throughput, and can reduce operating costs by as much as 90% compared to label printing. By printing directly onto cartons, the customer can reduce the number of packaging SKUs it must manage, thereby minimizing inventory expense. A range of environmentally friendly inks are available in both cartridge and bulk delivery form.
