Described by its manufacturer as an Electronic Product Code (EPC)-compatible RFID printer/encoder, the R4Mplus produces labels that can communicate via human-readable text, scannable bar code, or scannable RFID tag. Zebra claims that in the automatic identification and data capture (AIDC) industry, this is the first UHF EPC Class 1 (Alien Technology) RFID printer/encoder designed to deliver smart labels that meet new RFID compliance labeling specs for supply chain applications.
