Info collection on supplements

FDA is seeking public comment on its proposed collection of information on dietary supplements. Specifically, it wants to know if the regulation requiring manufacturers, packers, and distributors of dietary supplements to notify FDA that they are marketing a dietary supplement that bears on its label or in its labeling a statement provided for in the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act will have any practical use.

The agency also seeks comment on the accuracy of its estimates of the burden of collecting this information; ways to enhance the quality, utility, and clarity of the information collected; and ways to minimize the burden on those providing the information.
