Label shipments to grow

United States shipments of labels will expand 4.8% annually through 2006, to reach a value of $14 billion.

That’s according to The Freedonia Group’s new study, Labels. The 292-page report, available for $3꽤, says that “technologies ranging from reduced space and two-dimensional bar coding to plate-less digital printing will open a range of new labeling applications. Advances in label substrates, adhesives, and coatings will also be important in this regard.” More details are available by calling 440/684-9600, or by visiting
