Helena, CA, winery. The kitchen theme is carried on to the oversized label, depicting a woman in an apron mixing wine. As an added touch, the label itself is shaped like an apron, with a cloth ribbon literally tying the look together. Available only in Montevina's Tasting Room as well as in a few select test markets, Cucina Mista's limited distribution allows hand labeling. Labels, spanning nearly the whole length of the bottle, are applied manually with glue, as are the checkerboard patterned ribbons, wrapped around the bottle. Michael Osborne Design (San Francisco, CA) stepped in to create the Picasso-like design. Labels, a 70# stock, are offset-printed in 11 colors by FP Label (Napa, CA). Cucina Mista is sold only in 1.5-L (magnum) bottles. Suggested retail price is $10.
