The new PrintPRO(TM) Sonic(TM) thermal-transfer imprinter from Comstar Printing Solutions (Streetsboro, OH) works in-line with f/f/s baggers to print bar codes, text and graphics on packaging material at 60 to 120 packs/min on medium-sized bags; up to 200/min on smaller bags.
Serac's (Carol Stream, IL) new liquid volumetric piston filler can fill viscous food products such as ketchup, cream cheese and mayonnaise, as well as pharmaceuticals, personal care and lube oil products at speeds to 560 containers/min.
Videomat IV is Siemens' (Alpharetta, GA) new compact, modular vision inspection system. Primarily used for optical quality control or as a flexible system for parts identification, it uses a 32-bit image computer to inspect up to 72ꯠ parts/hr.

The Axiohm(TM) Online Series 7400 print-and-apply labeling system from Stadia (Golden, CO) features a front-panel applicator mechanism. It uses a 24" swing arm to apply labels to the front panel of a package and then automatically returns to its home position.
