At the heart of the Medicor system is a spirally wound tube lined with a highly absorbent material. Vials containing medical samples—blood, urine, tissue—slip into the crush-resistant core, which is sealed using either a plastic end cap or a screw top lid. Should a sample vial break during transport, Medicor’s liner captures any spilled fluid in seconds.
Medical transport packaging
Medicor® is a packaging system for the safe transport of diagnostic and infectious medical samples. It’s offered by Sonoco Absorbent Technologies, a joint venture between Sonoco (Hartsville, SC) and England’s Dyecor Ltd.
