Crativ Engineered Packaging and Amcor Rigid Packaging have announced the commercialization of Crativ PCR50^TM 50% post-consumer recycled (PCR) polypropylene material. Manufactured in Canada, Crativ PCR50^TM was developed for a patented, child-resistant container line to protect pre-roll, vape, edible, and flower products servicing the hemp, CBD, and cannabis markets. Crativ products are certified to the child-resistant packaging standards for Canada. 

The Crativ PCR50^TM line enables brands, cultivators, and distribution partners to find the correct configuration to bring their products to market in a more sustainable packaging format while differentiating themselves through fully customizable, brandable cases in standard (black and slate) or custom colors. Crativ PCR50^TM products are made from a blend of food contact-compliant recycled and virgin polypropylene.

Amcor partnered with Crativ in the development of the 50% PCR material blend, which offers cannabis brands and their consumers a more ecofriendly alternative to traditional plastics, thanks to its utilization of PCR content.
