"AquaPenn was selected over 400 other bottlers because of its reputation for maintaining high quality standards throughout its operation," says Gerber's Daryl Miller. Johnson Controls (Manchester, MI) blow molds the bottles, which are capped with a 28-mm compression-molded polypropylene closure from Owens-Illinois (Toledo, OH). Separately, AquaPenn announced that all its PET bottles, whether in regular or sport cap closures, now receive heat-shrink tamper-evident bands as part of a broadened TE policy. More Gerber news: On Dec. 10, Gerber unveiled a redesigned Gerber Baby logo. The cherubic icon is still showcased, but now the baby and the Gerber brand name are linked together. Designed by Landor Assoc. (San Francisco, CA), the new look will be carried on packages of Gerber's entire range of approximately 190 SKUs.
