Dustin Merritt named Packaging World Packaging Science Outstanding Senior for Fall 2015.

Dustin Merritt is a student veteran and a native of Clover, SC. He was given the opportunity of serving as a member of the Commander-in-Chief’s Guard in the Army’s 3rd U.S. Infantry Regiment, the official escort to the President of the United States. With interest in physics, chemistry, and engineering, he felt that a degree in Packaging Science at Clemson was the right field for him to be successful in his post military career. Dustin completed a co-op with Sealed Air in Duncan, SC, as part of the Product Care R&D team. He also completed an internship with Contec Inc., where he helped establish their first automated bottling line. Recently, Merritt was awarded the Packaging World Outstanding Senior Award in Fall of 2015.

Rebecca Brown is the Dr. Robert F. Testin Packaging Science Outstanding Senior for Fall 2015. Originally from Columbia, SC, Brown is a Packaging Science major with a minor in French. For the past six months she has been working on a co-op at Halyard Health, a medical device company formerly known as Kimberly-Clark Healthcare. Over the past four years she has participated in a number of Packaging Science’s Creative Inquiries, received the Paperboard Packaging Alliance Scholarship, and held leadership positions in the Packaging Science Club, French Club, and Sigma Kappa Sorority.
