PMG supports packaging education at 30th Annual Packaging Jamboree

Every year, packaging students from around the country come together to network with peers and professionals from the packaging industry at the annual Packaging Jamboree, an event that focuses on connecting packaging students with the industry they hope to join upon graduation.

This year’s Jamboree, which rotates among packaging schools every year, was held at PMMI Partner School Clemson University in South Carolina, with help from presenters and sponsors from throughout the packaging world.

“This is really a great opportunity, not just for students to get engaged with industry leaders, but for manufacturers to meet the leaders of tomorrow,” said Joe Angel, publisher of event sponsorPackaging World and president of PMMI Media Group (PMG). “We’re proud to be a part of an event like the Packaging Jamboree, and we’re looking forward to next year.”

The 2015 Packaging Jamboree featured presentations and breakout sessions with Procter & Gamble and Pratt Industries, as well as members of PMMI The Association of Packaging and Processing Technologies, such as Pregis, 3M, Sealed Air and Sonoco. Sponsors included TAPPI, the Southeastern Chapter of IoPP, and members Pro Mach, Crown and Printpack.
