Battenfeld Gloucester Engineering Co. Inc: Barrier film scanner

New from Battenfeld Gloucester is the O-Frame Scanner, an innovative scanner for barrier film that is accurate and capable of rapid data transmission to a process controller.

Pw 11633 Batten O Frame

Scanner utilizes a fixed gauge for noncontact measurement of multilayer film that is effective with all barrier resins, regardless of film temperature, and is capable of providing real-time control through the company’s patented Extrol™ process controller. The O-Frame scanner mounts between the oscillating haul-off and secondary nip, measuring the collapsed layflat. Its configuration allows the O-Frame to begin relaying process control data in as few as 5 min, compared to other systems that require 20 min. Ideal for use in applications that are sensitive to surface finish of the film.
