Distance-based pricing

United Parcel Service (Atlanta, GA) is now offering distance-based pricing for its air express service. The new pricing structure is based on both weight and distance of packages shipped.

The rates will more accurately reflect actual costs and, while charges for some longer distance movements will increase, UPS predicts substantial savings for many UPS customers. Air express rates will be geographically defined by ZIP code.
