Schneider Electric ELAU Packaging Solutions: Schneider Electric ELAU Packaging Solutions: Machinery looks to electronics

All main movements on Bosch machinery are now servo-driven, and pulse and angle synchronous movements for any number of axes are coordinated and indicated by a central control. The use of electronics also supports a trend toward a cost-saving modular design of independent drives.

Benefits for packagers include increased functionality, flexibility and improvement in costs and delivery times, according to Bosch. Bosch’s on-going efforts center on industrial PCs; standardized graphical interface; and open architecture.
