A new coextruded, heat-sealable pouch from Curwood (Oshkosh, WI) was developed to provide meat processors with improved puncture-resistant, high-barrier packaging for primals and sub-primals.

Available in 8" x 24" and 171/2" x 42" sizes, the Absolute Boneguard Protection pouch features a seven-layer coextrusion including nylon, EVOH and PE. Made in thicknesses of 5 to 8 mils with a 3-mil sealing header, the ABP pouch can be vacuum-sealed on either standard or rotary chamber machines.
