Fieldbus connectors for harsh environments

Variosub fieldbus plug connectors for applications in harsh environments are now available from Phoenix Contact. The Variosub family includes connectors for Interbus, Profibus, and CANopen systems.

To provide protection against dirt and moisture, these D-sub plug connectors meet protection category IP67. No tools are needed to lock the plug housing to the mounting frame—it is a "plug and play" operation. This simplifies set up and maintenance, because connectors are easy to unplug, plug in, and move. Integrated EMC shielding protects against interference and allows for error-free data transfer up to 12 Mbps.
