UAS Laboratories, Eden Prairie, Minn., has acquired APN Labs Inc., a contract manufacturer and packager in Wausau, Wisc. UAS Laboratories, a contract manufacturer of nutraceuticals, saw APN Labs as an attractive purchase because it makes its own condition-specific probiotic blends, as well as other ingredients.
APN Labs offers manufacturing packaging services for the natural food supplement industry including blister packaging for capsules and tablets. Its packaging facility includes both semi-automatic and high-speed automatic lines to fill capsules, tablets, and powders into containers.
