Visual Pak launches transportation services

The Visual Pak Companies, Waukegan, IL, has formed a new transportation services company called Visual Pak Logistics.

The new company provides customers with tailored transportation services that complement and complete Visual Pak’s existing logistics services, including pick/pack/ship distribution, warehousing, reverse logistics, cross-docking, and postponement.

“Top consumer products companies today are looking for partners whose offerings are wide and deep,” says Clayton Bolke, Visual Pak chief executive officer. “By adding a trucking capability, we are able to fill that gap and provide a more comprehensive offering that simplifies the process and takes cost out of the supply chain.”

The move further positions Visual Pak as a single-source provider of contract packaging and manufacturing services.

“Our integrated, single-source approach is differentiating in the eyes of many of our customers,” adds Tim Koers, chief operating officer of The Visual Pak Companies. “We have other customers who want us to unbundle our services. The optimal solution can vary by customer, and by project. We believe you need to demonstrate flexibility, as well as capability, to respond effectively to the time-pressured demands of customers today.”
