Malaysian government to require proper recycling of packaging...

Repackaging, reusing, or properly disposing of paper, plastic, and aluminum cans is now the responsibility of producers in Malaysia.

Under the Solid Waste and Public Cleansing Management Act 2007, producers and manufacturers must find ways to conserve, reuse, or dispose of waste properly so that landfills do not become overrun with packaging. A take-back policy may be adopted to help manufacturers conform to the new regulations.
