Axon, powered by Pro Mach, will showcase the Aurora Wide at Pack Expo Las Vegas, September 23-25, a new generation shrink film applicator engineered to apply lower gauge films of up to 400mm in Layflat width, a typical range for broad containers and multipacks. (Axon Booth C-2314)
The Aurora Wide is a combination of Axon’s latest application technology and more than two decades of experience and demonstrated manufacturing leadership in the wide range of shrink sleeve equipment. This innovative, mandrel-style applicator is equipped with everything that the Aurora brand stands for: Allen Bradley controls, servo automation, PackML programming, plug-n-play functionality for hassle-free upgradeability and customization; plus other unique features that positions it as the industry benchmark.
The Aurora Wide offers a robust tubular Stainless Steel frame with a cantilevered design that simplifies installation, maintenance and cleaning operations. A convenient swing arm allows flexible access to the Allen Bradley touch screen HMI. Innovation is also seen on the integrated film unwind assembly, as it includes a film buffer or “festoon” system for a smooth, motorized film feed to the applicator; a height-adjustable splicing table with a film locking device; and an ergonomic second film roll holder that eases the handling of heavy, large layflat film rolls.
“The Aurora Wide’s ability to process lower gauge, large layflat films provides a real win-win situation for our customers”, said Ed Farley, Axon’s Sales Manager. “We hope that Pack Expo Las Vegas attendees stop by the Axon booth C-2314 for a demonstration.”
