Video: New generation of high-speed meat and produce stretch wrappers

Ossid’s 500Si stretch wrapper is a new solution for high-speed meat and produce tray wrapping applications. The new 500Si servo controlled stretch wrapper is rated at up to 120 trays per minute and is the first in a new generation of high performance mid-price machines from Ossid. Booth # N-3913

Ossid, powered by Pro Mach, will introduce the 500Si stretch wrapper, a new solution for high-speed meat and produce tray wrapping applications at Pack Expo 2012. The servo controlled 500Si stretch wrapper is rated at up to 120 trays per minute and is the first in a new generation of high performance mid- price machines from Ossid. The 500Si’s intuitive HMI ensures ease of operation and makes rapid, tool-free changeover between package sizes quick and easy. Spanish language is supported. The cantilevered frame ensures easy access to key components. The rugged stainless steel frame and other construction aspects are compatible with the harsh environments of meat and produce packaging facilities. The 500Si has a relatively small footprint and is ideal for space-constrained environments.

“Our design engineers made significant strides in the development of this platform by achieving an outstanding ratio between performance and price,” said Ernie Newell, vice president and general manager, Ossid. “Meat and produce companies looking for a trouble-free, high-speed stretch wrapping solution should definitely investigate the new 500Si stretch wrapper.”
