Columbia/Okura celebrates its 20th Anniversary

The joint Columbia Machine Inc. and Okura USA Inc. venture has set them apart as custom palletizing experts.

Columbia/Okura LLC is pleased announce the celebration of its 20th anniversary. Columbia/Okura is a leading North American provider of custom engineered robotic palletizing solutions. Headquartered in Vancouver, WA, Columbia/Okura is a joint venture of material handling leaders Columbia Machine Inc. and Okura USA Inc.

Through years of hard work, management vision, and the strategic commitment of the parent companies, Columbia/Okura began to thrive with a focus on bag palletizing during its early years. This experience and exposure provided the confidence to look beyond bag palletizing applications, ultimately allowing the company to become robotic palletizing experts, regardless of packaging type.

“Being easy to do business with and taking care of our customer have been key attributes to the company’s success and longevity,” says Brian Hutton, President of Columbia/Okura. “Columbia/Okura’s customer service has been recognized for excellence with its 24-hour technical support hotline, factory certified field service technicians, state of the art personnel training center, and our ongoing commitment to keeping our customers’ lines running.”

Columbia/Okura has succeeded, in large part, based on the dedication and loyalty of its employees, suppliers and customers, who together, have made this company what it is today. In June, the companies held an employee recognition presentation and an employee “Thank You” celebration.

Hutton concludes: “While the past 20 years has been a tremendous experience, I’m expecting bigger challenges and more significant growth opportunities for the next 20 years! Columbia/Okura will continue its commitment to its core values of safety, flexibility, and performance.”
