Pharma Tech Industries, a leading pharmaceutical contract manufacturer and packager of powders, hired Dennis J. Kinsey as director of business development. He replaces Carl Oberg, who retired after 13 years with the company. Kinsey's sales and account management responsibilities involve developing and supervising account management employees, and targeting new sales opportunities with new and existing customers. He brings more than 30 years of industry experience at Johnson & Johnson, GlaxoSmithKline’s Consumer Healthcare division, AstraZeneca and, most recently, Insight Pharmaceuticals. He'll work closely with Rich Loughlin, vice president of strategic sales.
Pharma Tech recently underwent a corporate rebranding initiative, added an analytical laboratory for both Rx and OTC drugs in its Royston, Georgia production facility, and is nearing completion on a multi-million-dollar expansion of its manufacturing plant in Union, Missouri.
Kinsey has collaborated for more than 10 years on the Caldescene powders brand as part of his 20 years at Insight Pharmaceuticals. As vice president of operations there, he helped transform the company into a leading provider of OTC women’s healthcare solutions. Among other career achievements, he oversaw a large product acquisition for the brand Monistat from Johnson & Johnson that resulted in significant cost savings and increased efficiencies.
A Lean Six Sigma Green Belt, Mr. Kinsey is on the supply chain committee of the Consumer HealthCare Products Association and belongs to the American Inventory Control Society (APICS). He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business management from Villanova University, and is currently a Master in Business Administration candidate in the University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School. A father of two, he resides in Lansdale, PA, with his wife, Mary Ann.
