ARPAC acquires Extreme Packaging

Arpac expands their horizontal shrink wrapper technology and product offering with the acquisition of Extreme Packaging Machinery Inc.

Arpac, a supplier of end-of-line packaging solutions—specializing in engineered-to-order and complete integrated systems—and a subsidiary of Duravant LLC, acquired Extreme Packaging Machinery Inc. The acquisition expands Arpac’s product offering for secondary packaging equipment and enhances their technology position for shrink wrap systems.

“Arpac constantly focuses on delivering the most advanced and innovative technologies in packaging machinery, and we found that in Extreme,” says Rick Allegretti, President of Arpac. “We are confident that Extreme’s technology coupled with Arpac’s infrastructure will deliver the best packaging solutions to our customers and partners.”

Founded in 1990, Extreme designs and manufactures high performance, low maintenance auto shrink wrap machines, shrink tunnels, and automated infeed systems. Known for its consistent drive for innovation, Extreme excels in designing high-speed, high-quality, and reliable horizontal shrink wrap systems. Its Zero Edge Sealer, a horizontal shrink wrapper, eliminates material scrap and delivers savings to operators. Extreme’s product offering is directly complementary to Arpac’s portfolio.

“We are very excited about joining Arpac and are happy to bring our technology to Arpac.” Uttaro continues, “Our new patented Zero Edge Sealer is the only shrink wrapper on the market that eliminates waste and saves film,” Ray Uttaro, President of Extreme.

Gary Ehmka, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Arpac, adds, “The Extreme horizontal shrink wrapping technology is recognized throughout the industry as robust and state-of-the-art. Arpac is excited to bring Ray Uttaro and this product offering into our organization to further complement our complete end-of-line value proposition.”
