Dordan Manufacturing has been re-accredited by PJR for ISO 9001:2008 certification for the design, manufacture, and distribution of custom thermoformed products and packaging. This is the third year Dordan’s Quality Management System has been ISO 9001:2008 certified, just having passed an extensive on-site audit.
Dordan's Quality Policy is to ensure complete customer satisfaction through the delivery of defect-free products and services. Dordan strives to continually improve the quality and value of the products and services provided to its customers.
Dordan CEO and President Daniel Slavin explains: "The idea that the customer comes first in business isn't a novel one; but the framework of our quality policy provides a mechanism for the total and complete prioritization of our customer in everything we do. Every system we have, every process in place, exists because it helps better serve our customer."
This systemic prioritization of the customer at Dordan demonstrates the evolving corporate culture at the almost 55-year-old thermoforming company. Once resting on its reputation of thermoform part design and engineering excellence, Dordan now provides an unparalleled customer experience as well.
Dordan General Manager John Kreider echoes Slavin's remarks: "Complying with ISO requirements has helped us improve our systems and customer focus." This customer focus is manifest in the different key performance indicators that Dordan tracks monthly. By quantifying the activities that support its customers' needs, Dordan has established a baseline off which progress is measured. Because the second part of Dordan's quality policy is to strive to continually improve the value of the products and services provided to its customers, Dordan uses this analysis to isolate areas of improvement.
