The PLATO sensor controller from Entry Technology (Cream Ridge, NJ) can be used with sensor-based inspection systems to provide quality assurance on packaging lines.

It offers a complete sensor interface, PLC and product ejection system, says the company. Using design principles of the PLATO-0100 bar-code inspection validation controller, the system can detect for a range of variables, including label presence/absence, high or missing cotton, high or cocked caps.
