This tray/shrink packer expands Krones' integrated packaging systems and turnkey production capabilities by offering continuous-motion packing and shrink wrapping of single products or multipacks at rates of 18 to 100 cycles/min. Handles cartons, cans, bottles, and other metal, plastic, or glass containers as it packs them onto pads or into trays. The continuous-motion machine includes lane distribution, servo-driven container feeder, servo-controlled film cutting and film vacuum conveyor, and an optional overlap film-wrapping station and shrink tunnel. The Variopac's modular design and construction accommodates line integration and future expansion, says Krones.
