A problem with traditional wipe-on label printer applicators is that the print speed usually has to match the conveyor speed of the line. This restricts the output that can be achieved because conveyor speeds often exceed the maximum print speed - even when using near-edge print systems.
By uncoupling the print and conveyor speeds, ID Technology’s High Speed Wipe Module allows the perfect combination of low print speed and high conveyor speed. A recent installation is labeling 60 cases per minute on a 150 feet per minute conveyor,with a print speed of just 6 inches per second.
