NEOCELL® is a thermoformable and breakable co-extruded 3-layer sheet made of PS or PP with a gaz-injected middle layer and optional strengthened external layers containing mineral fillers to ameliorate mechanical properties of the final product.

It is a flexible and modular concept in terms of density by injecting the necessary amount of gaz needed. Low-density NEOCELL® sheet is the result of the resource-saving, sustainable technology which achieves, compared to similar compact sheet, a weight reduction up to 26% for PP (up to 25% for PS) – without the use of chemical foaming agents. Thus, it achieves material savings while improving the carbon footprint through a significant CO2 reduction.

To offer a future-oriented packaging solution free of polystyrol, Coveris has made a real breakthrough innovation by launching NEOCELL® PP+ beginning of 2014 as the first thermoformable and breakable  PP sheet for FFS applications.

The low-density FFS sheet by Coveris is available as natural, white and bi-colored sheet and in a wide range of dimensions.

The sheet innovation is a functional and safe packaging for Dairy applications and adjustable to all kinds of FFS lines. NEOCELL® is exclusive from the Coveris FFS Center of Excellence in Mont-de-Marsan, France.
