Meaty design

Pioneer Snacks called on Flowdesign to create a new way to package their meat snacks.

Pw 11787 Huntersausage

The company’s research showed that meat snack consumers perceive unwrapped sausage sticks to be more fresh and wholesome than wrapped sticks, so designers placed the snacks in a clear plastic jar with bold colorful labels and a red reclosable screw cap. It is designed for the person on the go and can be placed in a car cup holder, in a sports bag, or in a backpack. The clear labels help reveal the meat sticks inside. Each of the five flavors, including Smoked Sausage, Teriyaki, Fired Up, Jalapeno, and Hunter Sausage, were carefully designed to evoke a flavor feeling with the use of colors, custom fonts, and graphics.
