Mobil Polymers (Edison, NJ) has introduced two new HDPE resins for extruding or thermoforming that allow up to 20% faster cycle times and downgauging by as much as 10% compared to traditional HDPE resins.

HDA-303 is a medium-molecular-weight resin for food and consumer product packaging applications. HDA-026 is a high-molecular-weight resin suitable for pallets and rigid containers. Both offer high melt strength and ease of processing in sheet extrusion, and low sag and good deep draw properties in thermoforming. Mobil Polymers
