Ati Motors, a distributor in autonomous mobile robotics (AMRs) unveiled the SHERPA 10K and SHERPA MECHA, designed to transform industrial automation.

Ati Motors announced an achievement as its flagship SHERPA family of AMRs being on track to execute 1 million autonomous missions annually across demanding industrial environments. These robots continue to deliver accuracy for manufacturers in India, Southeast Asia, Mexico, and the US. This accomplishment validates Ati’s focus on robust engineering and advanced AI.

Saurabh Chandra, Founder and CEO, says “Today’s Ati Motors is the realization of a dream begun eight years ago, to create a truly multi-disciplinary products company that pushes the boundaries of engineering, artificial intelligence, and industrial design. Every robot deployed and mission accomplished brings our vision closer to reality.”

CTO Naveen Arulselvan details the company’s evolving ambition: orchestrating and tracking entire AMR fleets through complex workflows, empowered by the cutting-edge AtiVerse platform. “Our journey started with autonomous material movement, but our horizons have grown rapidly,” he adds. “Today, we go beyond movement. We track material, handle it and even transform it, through our AI platform: Ati Verse.”

Ati Motors revealed the SHERPA 10K, a high-capacity autonomous tugger built for demanding industrial settings. Key features include a towing capacity up to 10,000lb (4.6 ton), advanced 3D LiDAR and camera fusion for precise navigation, and in-place turning to deliver maneuverability in tight spaces. SHERPA 10K is designed to maximize productivity and reliability, even in environments where conventional AMRs falter.

Ati also introduced SHERPA MECHA as a leap towards the future of humanoid robotics. SHERPA MECHA is a robot that blends advanced actuation, sensor fusion, and modular intelligence. This humanoid-style robot exemplifies Ati’s vision for the next frontier in autonomous systems. Ati presented a unique vision for humanoids developed for industrial work, aiming for high performance as against full bio-mimicry. The company now invites universities and innovation centers to join research initiatives focused on developing applications on top of SHERPA MECHA.
