Cupping, bagging starts up at NP Food Service Sales - second line

The organic cereal processor launches into the market in cups and in bags using two new lines.

NP Food Service Sales, LLC, St. Charles, IL operates two start-up packaging lines, one for cups, the other for a range of bags. The cup-filling line features automatic ingredient dispensing and conveying to a computerized netweigher that supplies the cereal to the 4-up cup filler and sealer at speeds to 160 cups/min.

The bag filling line features a pair of vertical f/f/s units. These are supplied ingredients from a computerized netweigher on a mezzanine above the baggers. Twin-head scales dispense and control product to the netweigher.

Rates top out around 100 bags/min. To read the complete story see this feature story.
