Lantech Inc: Shrink tunnel improved

“Soft Convection” Shrink Tunnel uses unique technology to ensure uniform distribution of convection heat--the key to attractive, consistent shrink packages--to eliminate common problems such as “dog ears” and bubbles.

System features “real time” adjustment of air velocity, air temperature, and conveyor speed. A special ViewWindow[tm] monitors the entire tunnel and shrink packaging process. Rather than forced air, the distributed convection system gently swirls air around multiple heater elements to blanket the entire package to eliminate isolated hot and cold spots that result in unattractive packages. The system, which features an 87% open design for better air flow, is backed by a 3-year warranty.
