American Packaging achieves GFSI Certification

American Packaging Corporation achieves GFSI Certification with zero non-conformances.

American Packaging Corporation Flexographic Printing & Laminating Center of Converting Excellence located in Story City, IA, has completed its GFSI certification audit with zero non-conformances. For certification, the auditor conducted employee interviews, accessed programs, and practices, examined records to ensure APC is meeting the standard requirements and inspected the facility for overall cleanliness.

Customers now require certification to a globally recognized food safety system. The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) recognizes a handful of standards which meet Food Safety worldwide. Two of APC’s Centers of Excellence located in WI and NY previously achieved SQF Level 2 certification and with this recent audit its third Center located in IA obtained FSSC 22000 certification.

“Having zero non-conformances is truly an outstanding accomplishment and reflects the pride we take in our work, our passion of excellence and our commitment to remain a top flexible packaging manufacturer in the industry,” says Peter B. Schottland, President and Chief Executive Officer.

American Packaging Corporation is a packaging solution focused company that is innovative, quality driven and financially strong. The company is a privately held converter specializing in 10-color high definition flexographic printing, 10-color rotogravure printing, multi-ply extrusion, co-extrusion, and adhesive lamination of film, paper, and foil.
