This content was written and submitted by the supplier. It has only been modified to comply with this publication’s space and style.

The system is composed of an Ishida RS multihead weigher serving two Ishida Atlas 122 vertical form-fill-seal bagmakers. Instead of using multiple dedicated lines, processors use this system to produce two different bag sizes, film styles and gas-flush options simultaneously.

The Ishida Atlas 122 bagmaker is a master of versatility in its own right. It makes bag sizes from 3” to 9” wide and up to 21” long. It’s patented film loading system requires no manual centering and includes a vacuum splice plate for quick, simple film changes. Automatic film tracking, registration and unwind controls, and Ishida’s patented servo controlled pull-down belt and rotary back seal systems reduce downtime and waste.

Ishida’s dual packaging system can also be customized with CEIA metal detectors, code daters, automatic film splicing, a strip-pack bag applicator, seal checker, checkweigher and case packer.
