A high level of automation, short cleaning times and quick format changes combine to make the packaging processes more efficient. The interchangeable QuickFeed feed unit, which enables product changes to be completed in next to no time, is one of the technical highlights. One unit is removed and then cleaned and prepared separately while production of the next batch takes place concurrently using the second module. The result: significantly shorter cleaning cycles and downtimes (QuickClean). In addition, the fact that the format sets can be fitted without using tools along with the easy access to all machine parts speeds up retooling (QuickChange). When teamed up with the Promatic PC 4250, the Noack 930 blister system has a packaging capacity of up to 400 blisters and 250 folding cartons a minute. It handles all standard foil types with a maximum width of 165 mm. The products are packed into blisters in up to four lanes parallel to the running direction.

QuickTransfer – the servo-driven transfer station – passes the punched blisters to the system’s stacking trays on a vacuum assisted overhead conveyor. The blister stacks are fed directly to the cartoner’s bucket chain according to the soft stacking principle. Every single blister can be tracked seamlessly. A total of 17 servo drives assure flexible processes as well as highly efficient production of very small to medium batch sizes. The cGMP compliant layout of the blister system with its balcony structure provides reliable production workflows and high blister quality. QuickAdjust – the automatic station control systems – adjusts the coding, perforation and die-cutting processes. Any variations in foil thickness are automatically compensated in this way. The blister system is set up and controlled with QuickAdmin, the ergonomic HMI panel. Control and monitoring are much more straightforward and this user-friendly visualisation concept is greatly appreciated by operating and maintenance staff. Current batch data can be checked almost instantly.

Noack blister systems including Promatic horizontal motion cartoners are optimally harmonised and simple to operate thanks to their mature servo technology. The Noack 930 blister system is ideally suited for packing pharmaceutical solids such as tablets, soft or hard gelatine capsules and caplets in a variety of shapes and sizes. Users who choose a blister packaging solution made by Romaco profit not only from outstanding OEE values and excellent value for money but also from the Romaco Group’s enormous system expertise.
