TGI Fridays Chicken Bites Recalled Due to Possible Plastic Contamination

Simmons Prepared Foods is recalling 26,550 lb of the frozen, boneless retail product after the company received customer complaints about clear, hard plastic found under the breading of the bites.

Simmons Prepared Foods is recalling 13.2 tons of TGI Fridays frozen, boneless chicken bites that may be contaminated with extraneous materials, specifically pieces of clear, hard plastic, according to the U.S. Department of Agriculture's Food Safety and Inspection Service (FSIS).

These boneless chicken bites were produced on Oct. 3, 2023:

  • 15-oz. carton containing "TGI FRIDAYS BONELESS CHICKEN BITES HONEY BBQ CHICKEN" with lot code KL3K03 and Best By date of 12/26/2024 located on the side of the carton.
