Food, flowers, pharmaceuticals, chemicals and other perishables are potentially high-profit products, but current cold chain conditions in China are dismal. Shipping and storage of fruits and vegetables is low quality due to a shortage of refrigerated trucks. Companies struggle to find good third party logistics providers, often having to go it alone. "China's cold-chain infrastructure is still fragmented, under-funded, and scrambling to keep up with soaring demand."
