The Nibbler GNB lump breaker from process equipment manufacturer Gericke USA, Somerset, NJ, automatically transforms thick slurries into elongated pellets. Featuring a proprietary design, the Nibbler GNB uses a low speed, high-torque, rotating paddle assembly that compacts and pushes the material through a serrated screen. The moist material is discharged as smooth, elongated pellets with a consistent, preset diameter ranging from 1mm up to 25mm.

Suitable for food, chemical, mineral, and plastic products, the Nibbler accepts viscous products with variable size lumps from an upstream dryer, mixer, or conveyor and converts the thick mass into uniform strings ready for reprocessing. Off-spec, waste, and other products are easily recovered without the cost or complexity of extrusion.

The Nibbler GNB is available in standard sizes from 200mm up to 1200mm to process slurries at throughputs up to 50,000 kg/hr. Testing on the Nibbler is offered at the company's New Jersey test laboratory and tests may be scheduled by contacting [email protected].
