Packaging Aids Corporation: MAP traysealer

With its patented modified-atmosphere process, the Audion SLB™ from Packaging Aids is said to provide efficient and economical shelf-life extension for products.

The SLB displaces virtually all of the atmosphere in the package with an inert gas or any other appropriate gas mixture, so fewer or no preservatives are necessary to extend the shelf life of fresh products. Three models are available: the manual 1002 provides speeds of 6 to 8 cycles/min; the PM 1502 with rotating tray carrier packages at a rate of 9 to 12 cycles/min; and the automatic PM 2002 operates at rates of 14 to 16 cycles/min.
