Motors can withstand corrosive washdown solutions containing caustic lye, bleach, acids, alkalines, and surfactants. Double-sealed bearings that are prelubricated with moisture-resistant high-temperature grease are used on both ends of the motor. Other features include a new conduit box design that reduces the contact area between the motor and the box, O-rings located between the endbells and motor frame, hydrophobic breathers in the opposite shaft endbell, and conduit box to equalize pressure without allowing moisture to enter the motor, and more.
