System consists of a Trident-powered SolidJet printhead and SolidMark ink. System uses a crayon-like wax-based solid ink. Ink is melted into a liquid state in the heated ink-jet reservoir and is then jetted onto packaging by the printhead. Ink solidifies in less than 1 sec. Printhead can print bar codes and up to 4 lines of alphanumeric text.
