Sensors use single laser line, perform in harsh environments

SICK released two sensors, the Profiler 2 and the IMB inductive sensor, each designed to perform in unique environments.

The Profiler 2 is a short-range distance sensor that uses a single laser line to analyze and measure multifaceted objects. The sensor can register up to four object areas at a time, with 10 integrated measurement functions available. 

The IMB inductive sensor is designed with an IP 69K-rated stainless steel housing, and can withstand a temperature range of -40 to +100 C. Created with harsh environments in mind, the IMB can resist shock and vibration up to 50g. This sensor uses SICK’s ASIC technology to provide accurate sensing ranges.
